WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1998, Ideal Images seeks to create the finest marketing products and business apparel in the country. In just over seven years of business, we have become the largest manufacturer of custom embroidered and screenprinted apparel, and promotional products.

We utilize our state-of-the-art facility to create business images that stand out and marketing products that improve the bottom line. Ideal Images controls all phases of production, which sets us apart from the competition. We then combine our impressive facility with a creative and knowledgeable staff, who are dedicated to personal service. The result is an ever-expanding business plan and unprecedented growth.

Our Management Team

Peter McCann - President and Founder

Peter began in the retail business over 20 years ago working at United Sporting Goods. His career in retail carried over into college and beyond, when he and one of his brothers owned a chain of sporting goods stores, Charlie Rose Baseball, which spanned from San Francisco to Omaha.

In 1998, Peter began Ideal Images as an independent sales broker. He quickly realized the need to have all embroidery produced in-house, so he purchased another embroidery company. Since then, we have acquired more embroidery, screenprinting and web-based corporate store services.

Recently, Peter and Ideal Images have won both the Omaha Chamber of Commerce´s Small Business of the Year and the Midlands Business Journal 40 Under 40 award.

Peter is also a member of Young Entrepreneur´s Organization and the Omaha Chamber of Commerce. He is very active in his familys life by coaching teams, going to sports practices for all 4 of his kids, and participating in school functions. He also donates money and merchandise to many charities throughout the year including Adopt-A-School, Make-A-Wish, Adopt-A-Family and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Peter has a wife, Stephanie, two daughters, Alex and Morgan, and two sons, Mitchell and Mason.

Martin Mapes - Chief Operating Officer

Martin Mapes and Peter McCann were roommates their first year at University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Martin went on to graduate from UNL with a degree in Finance/Economics. He then earned his MBA from Creighton University in International Finance and Computer Systems Management.

From 1994 to 2000 he worked at Data Transmission Network Corporation as the Director of Operations for the Energy Division. There, Martin oversaw 60 people in the Customer Service, Client Support, Administrative, Development, & Testing Departments. All of his clients were fortune 100 companies, including Exxon, Mobil, Phillips Petroleum, Shell Oil, Amoco, British Petroleum. His division accounted for $30 million of revenue a year.

From 2000 to 2004 Martin acted as the Vice President of Electronic Commerce and Support for InfoUSA. He oversaw 10 websites and 40 desktop applications. There were 20 people internally he had as direct reports and 30-40 outside reports through vendor relationships. His products accounted for $80-$100 million dollars in revenue per year. Some of his customers were Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Yale University, Johns Hopkins University, New York Public Library, DuPont, Praxair, and Pfizer.

Paul McCann - Vice President 

Paul graduated from University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a BS in Business Administration and started his career in San Jose, CA as an Executive Recruiter in the computer industry. Paul joined his brothers in managing their growing business, ‘Charlie Rose Baseball’, and transferred to the headquarters here in Omaha.  At Charlie Rose Baseball he gained valuable experience in retail, sales, IT networking, inventory, and corporate management.

 

Paul once again joined his brother Peter when Ideal Images formed in 1998.  Paul''s current responsibilities are: key account sales, order management, inventory management and purchasing. Paul is married to Laura McCann, who is also employed at Ideal Images as our Office Manager.

Joe Jacobsen - Vice President, Sales

Joe Jacobsen joined Ideal Images in June 2006. Joe’s primary focus is driving new marketing strategies for the corporate world to enhance their marketability, sales, visibility and growth within their individual markets by partnering with them to develop unique corporate stores that better serve their market base. Prior to joining Ideal Images, Joe spent 18 years with fortune 500 companies where he held key executive positions in sales, operations and client management. Joe was responsible for building strong consultative relationships while maintaining superior customer service, contract renewals, executive account management, operations and financial management.

Joe holds a B.S. from the University of Nebraska.

Brent Harris - Senior Sales Executive

Brent recently joined the Ideal Images sales team in May 2008, He previously was employed as a National Sales Manager at Quality Brands of Omaha, a Budweiser wholesaler for  the last 30 years. He also holds a BS degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (DII). Brent brings a wealth of corporate sales and marketing experience to our organization.

Tabitha Thrasher - In-House Sales Consultant

Tabitha Thrasher has been the in-house sales consultant since May 2005.  Tabitha specializes in a number of areas including schools and community events, just to name a few.  In addition, Tabitha can assist you with anything from a family reunion to a corporate outing.  Prior to Ideal Images, she taught middle school in the Milwaukee and Omaha school systems.  Tabitha holds a BA in Education from Concordia University in Mequon, WI.

Craig Huston - Vice President, Operations

Craig spent 18 years in the sporting goods industry before joining Ideal Images, beginning at United Sporting Goods. There he worked with a young high school kid by the name of Peter McCann. Pete later asked Craig to come work for him at Charlie Rose Baseball, where he worked as the Team Sales Manager.

In 2000, Pete once again called upon his friend to work for him; this time at Ideal Images as Vice President of Operations. Craig oversees all in-house embroidery and screenprinting. He also works with some of our sports-related customers including Creighton University, University of Nebraska at Omaha, Bellevue University, Omaha Beef, Omaha Lancers and Scheels All Sports.

Craig graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.

He has a wife, Marie, a son, Nathaniel, and daughters, Alexa and Anna.

 

Jeff Anderson - Digital Printing Manager

Jeff and Pete met when they were kids. Jeff was a childhood friend of Pete´s older brother, Pat. Fast forward to post Business Administration studies at University of Nebraska at Omaha, when Jeff was employed by Team Spirit as the new company´s first employee. Jeff worked there for ten years, setting up and running the Distribution Center, which supported the company´s eventual 45 stores nationwide. Jeff was then hired by Pete to manage the warehouse and order fulfillment process at Charlie Rose Baseball. Before being hired at Ideal Images in November 2000, Jeff worked at Perfect Game as Warehouse and Purchasing Manager.

Jeff now works at Ideal Images and does purchasing as well as manages the warehouse. One of his biggest roles is overseeing fulfillment of all of our corporate store orders.

Jeff has a wife, Kelly, a son, Jace, and a daughter, Maddie.

Laura McCann - Sales

After attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Laura went to work for The Pinnacle Group, where she worked as an administrator. There she worked mostly with bank executives to relocate them to their new job location. She handled most aspects of their relocation including real estate agents, inspections, appraisals and household goods. She worked with such customers as US Bancorp, AMSOUTH and Metz Banking Co. In February 2000, Laura was asked to work at Ideal Images to help with the company´s growing business. She is currently working as our Office Manager whose duties are primarily Accounts Receivable, Customer Service and Human Resources, although she has done everything from answering phones, to warehousing, purchasing and selling.

WHAT WE DO

Screenprinting

Ideal Screenprinting. We have an 8-head automatic press and a 6-head manual press. This gives us the ability to produce up to 1700 pieces of screenprinted apparel each day.

What does this mean for you? It means that whether your order is for 18 pieces or 1800 pieces, we can get it done quickly, making it easier for you to satisfy those anxious customers and employees.

We can top that, too. When we have a must-have in-hands date for your screenprinted items, we will be sure to meet that date, even if it means working all night, thus giving you your Ideal products at your Ideal time.

And look what else we can do. Buffett Middle School, was opening its doors for 3 nights of Open Houses as a brand new school. We set up an area to sell all the new screenprinted apparel, and mostly sold out in the first night. Buffett wanted the other families to have access to the new apparel, too. We solved this by ordering in more apparel the next day. We received it the following day at 4:30, and had all 200 pieces (and two different designs) screenprinted by 5:30 for the 6:00 Open House. We made it easier for Buffett to market their school.

Embroidery

Ideal Embroidery.... With 63 heads of embroidery, we have the capability to output 2200 pieces of embroidered apparel every day. Plus, that makes us the largest embroiderer in the State of Nebraska.

….with Ideal service. From start to finish, the order is about YOU! We will help you pick out the Ideal apparel to suit your specific need. Then we´ll meet with our in-house graphic artist to create your Ideal logo. We´ll sew that out onto a swatch of fabric, and wait for your approval before we embroider your new apparel.

We won´t stop until we get it right. If you don´t like the sew-out sample we give you, we will re-sew it until you are completely satisfied, and we´ll give you suggestions of how to make it look better.

We love coming to the rescue. Mutual of Omaha needed 144 hats for a Wild Kingdom Kids Convention in Las Vegas, and they needed them in two days. (Yes, two days…..in Vegas.) Their previous vendor couldn´t get them done, so they called us. We ordered the hats that day and received them, embroidered them and sent them out the following day. They had them to hand out at their convention to all the kids…..and we did all of the artwork and correspondence via email. We made it possible for Mutual of Omaha to market their business.

Then, we´ll save you money. We have End Quantity Pricing (EQP) with over 100 of our vendors, vendors that include BIC, Leeds, Callaway, Cutter & Buck and Sanford Pen Company. This means that no matter how many pieces you order, you still get the best pricing.

You´ve gotta read this one. Planet Consulting came to us looking for a great trade show give away….one that would draw people in, and then keep them at their booth. Our idea was that if they put their card into the bowl, they would get a nail puzzle. If they solved the puzzle, they were put into a drawing for one of the grand prizes. This was extremely successful. Planet would see the potential customer when they gave away the nail puzzle, and would talk to them while they tried to solve it. Planet would see them a second time when they would finally solve the puzzle, and then a third time when they came back to see if they won a grand prize. Planet generated $1.5 million in business at that show. We made it easier for Planet to market their business.

Corporate Stores

Ideal Corporate Stores. A home-grown, "best-of-breed" platform. Your own personal shopping cart. UPS integration and tracking. Complete back-end management and reporting. On-line editable custom printed business paper products. In-house warehousing, fulfillment and shipping. The Ideal place for your corporate store.

Here´s how it works. When one of your employees or customers goes onto your store, they will find a completely customized web-site, complete with a shopping cart. They can click on the merchandise and read a description about it, find out the price, even see if it is out of stock. Once they have made their selection, they check out and choose their preferred payment method. They will receive an email letting them know the order was received, and another one with the total bill, including shipping charges, and a UPS tracking number. The item will be picked, packed and shipped within 2 business days if it is in stock. Easy!

And the options are limit-less. You can choose payment options, including cost centers and payroll deduct. You can have your business cards and letterhead on your store that are editable on-line. You can have as few or as many products and categories as you choose. We will create the Ideal web-store to suit your needs.

We´ll even help you market your store. We can do fliers, email blasts and catalogs, or anything else to help you promote your store. We will also suggest some new products to put on your store every so often to keep people coming back. Any new items are easily uploaded thanks to our in-house graphic artist and corporate store manager.

We would like to share a quick story with you. Before Mutual of Omaha switched their corporate store to us, their total monthly sales averaged $35,000. Since switching to us, their monthly sales average $75,00 - $80,000, and here´s the kicker, they haven´t changed their marketing budget. We make it easier for Mutual of Omaha to market their business.
